‘Remakes ‘n Reboots’
“Join our panel of esteemed Movieologists as the delve into the world of movie remakes and reboots. We of course kick it off in high-fashion by discussing Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, but do comic movies count as reboots or just different interpretations of the characters? We move along and cover everything from Planet of the Apes to Nightmare on Elm St to the King Kong franchise.”

*Spoiler*: We start and finish with Batman. Because we are awesome.
‘Book Worm Edition’.
“The gang proves that they put their library card to use before as we break down some of our favorite books and books we like to recommend. Along the way, we somehow go down a road that leads up to discussing the state of the movie industry. We finish up by picking book series that actually were better when adapted to the big-screen. So join as on this word-filled adventure!”

The Comic Anvil Volume 2 Episode 2 is up.
So, we recorded this Saturday, but the thing is - it didn’t actually record.
Which was a bummer.
So this is the second take. The first take is lost forever to the interwebs.
Lots of love from me to Hawkeye. You’ll hear how hard it is for me to express in words how much I love the frickin comic.
Here it is.
It’s pretty spoiler free.
I also think it’s one of my better reviews.
The next one will be better.
Recorded a podcast earlier (The Comic Anvil) and had surprise visits from Ryan Stegman (the artist on Scarlet Spider) and Nick Pitarra (the artist on The Red Wing and The Manhattan Projects).
The show will be up later this week. There will be links.
‘Sounds and Sounds Edition’.
I host this weeks episode of Nerds on the Rocks as we talk about movie scores and soundtracks. Click the link to listen or subscribe to the show on itunes!
