If there’s any truism, it’s that fans will complain when a book is late, but they’ll also complain (and often wander away from it) if it comes out regularly but isn’t what they’re looking for.

HAWKEYE is successful and has been successful based on the work that specific creative team has done on it. Yes, we could bring in another creative team to work on it, but in all likelihood they wouldn’t duplicate the same magic that’s been making the series work.

And hey, once this material is books, you can read it any time.

And with a different creative team, it’s just Hawkeye and not HAWKGUY.
